Boy Power Soccer
Grades 3 through 5
Registration for the 2010 Season is now OPENED. Please read all directions about our league and then register your child. You DO NOT need to have an Active account to register. You can use Active's guest option to avoid receiving email from them.
What we do:
The Boy Power Soccer league is a league for boys in grade three through grade five. Boys will be introduced to offensive and defensive positions, including goalie, to ensure full exposure to all facets of the game. We have a 30 minute skill session followed by a one hour game. We shorten the field for the game and play with 6-8 players to give players more touches on the ball. Regardless of skill level all players will get equal playing time.
Who Runs It:
Boy Power is run by a dedicated group of volunteers. So please consider volunteering to coach. You don’t need soccer experience only a willingness to help and an enthusiasm for our kids. Please indicate your interest on the registration form and we will contact you before the beginning of the season. You will coach your child’s team.
When and Where:
We play on Sunday’s from 3:30-5:15 starting Sunday, September 12, 2010 and run through Sunday, November 7, 2010. Our league takes place down at the Narberth Park on Haverford Ave. and Wynnewood Rd. The NAA recognizes that Rosh Hashannah falls on the weekend of September 12 and Yom Kippur falls on Saturday September 18th this year. Our soccer programs will be held on Sunday for those families not observing these holiday's.
Equipment:
Each participant must bring a water bottle, shin guards and his own #4 soccer ball. Please mark all items for identification purposes. The league will provide shirts. Players will be assigned the responsibility to bring a team snack or drink during one of the sessions.
For safety reasons a parent or designated guardian must remain at the Narberth Field at all times while your child is participating in the Boy Power program. The coaches cannot accept responsibility for any child that is dropped off.
Registration Fee: $55.00-Refund policy: Refunds are issued on a case by case basis. If a refund is issued it will be for no more then $45.00. NAA pays active a non-refundable processing fee for each registration.
Is honored on a first come, first serve basis. Last year Boy Power closed so register early.
