Cal Ripken Baseball - Majors

THE SEASON WILL RUN FROM MARCH 31, 2012 THROUGH JUNE 10, 2012.

Our Cal Ripken or Majors division is for boys and girls ages 11and 12. The child must be 11 years old by May 1, 2012. This competitive division plays in an in house Narberth league and well as intraleague and tournament baseball. For the tournament team, the season continues through district playoffs and can culminate with the Babe Ruth World Series.

To be eligible to play the player needs to be 11 years old by May 1,2012.

The in house league is played down at the Narberth playground on Saturday with the first game starting at 10:30am and the last game finishing at 2:30. The intraleague games and practices are played on Tuesday's and Thursday's down Narbeth Park or over in Havertown at West Gate field. The league will run from April through June.

Before the teams are drafted, there will be a skills assessment down at Narberth playground. Coaches will assess the players.

The skills assessment will take place on a Saturday March 17 down at the Narberth playground from 10:00am until 12:00 noon. Your child will be assigned to a team after the skills assessment. We do not honor teammate requests.

COST: $120.00. Each player will receive a uniform consisting of a hat, shirt and pants is included in the registration fee for each child.

Majors is $120.00 per child. No FAMILY discount. No child is turned away. If financial help is needed please email yipperk@gmail.com and in the subject area write: NAA Scolarship. All scholarships are confidential.

NAA REFUND POLICY: IF YOU REGISTER YOUR CHILD AND MUST WITHDRAW HIM OR HER BEFORE THE SEASON STARTS YOU WILL BE REFUNDED ALL MONIES LESS $10. IF YOU WITHDRAW YOUR CHILD AFTER THE SEASON STARTS, NO REFUND WILL BE ISSUED.

The NAA is required to have a background check on each head and assistant coach.

Babe Ruth and Cal Ripken are requiring our coach and assistant coach volunteers to be certified coaches. NAA will reimburse each volunteer after he or she completes the course. The fee is $20. You do not have to take the course in one sitting. You can break it into pieces.
